Friends and supporters of PromFest will have the privilege of meeting Maria Guleghina, the renowned dramatic soprano and chairwoman of the 14th Klaudia Taev Competition.
Meet & greet evening with opera diva Maria Guleghina. September 19 at 5:00 PM in the Pärnu Concert Hall café.
The conversation will be led by Mart Mikk. The event is free.
In advance of the competition finale, Mart Mikk has a conversation with Maria Guleghina, the opera diva who chairs the Klaudia Taev Competition jury, exploring singing, opera, the competition itself, and the realities of stage life and what happens beyond it.
Maria Guleghina is one of the world’s most acclaimed dramatic sopranos, greeted by audiences with standing ovations on the stages of many leading opera houses. Her title role performances in Puccini’s operas “Tosca” and “Turandot” have been particularly highly praised. In his book “Greatest Stars of the Opera,” Enrico Stinchelli has called Guleghina “the most remarkable dramatic soprano of her generation.”
After the meet & greet, the 14th Klaudia Taev Competition grand finale unfolds at Pärnu Concert Hall.

The program features special guest Aita Kaaver and the finalists of the Competition.
The Pärnu City Orchestra will provide accompaniment under the baton of conductor Erki Pehk.
