Cynthia Makris is a Colorado-born soprano who has sung major opera roles around the world in a career spanning 30 years. Her vast repertoire ranges from bel canto to dramatic, from Bellini, Donizetti, and Mozart to Verdi, Richard Strauss, and Wagner. She has sung on the leading stages of the world, including La Scala, Covent Garden, and the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. Cynthia Makris is also an impassioned voice coach, bringing her experience of performing and knowledge of musical styles and languages to her teaching. She uses classical Italian techniques to develop a natural and healthy approach to singing.
The meeting will be moderated by Dutch stage director and lecturer Hans Nieuwenhuis.

Ticket price includes a cozy meeting with an opera star, cake and coffee/tea, and admission to the final concert of the Klaudia Taev competition on the same evening at 7 pm in Pärnu Concert Hall.
