14th Klaudia Taev International Competition for Young Opera Singers Final Concert
Six finalists of the Competition will each perform two opera arias, one aria can be chosen by a singer and the second aria will be selected by the competition jury. Accompanied by the Pärnu City Orchestra, conducted by Erki Pehk. The winner of the competition will be announced at the Pärnu Concert Hall approximately twenty minutes after the concert.
The audience also has an important role – everyone has the opportunity to vote for their favorite finalist, whose name will be announced within several dozen minutes after the concert ends.
Each singer prepares four opera arias which they can choose from the repertoire list. Every singer will perform only two of them, namely:
- one of the four operatic arias, chosen by the singer’s personal preference
- another opera aria is chosen by the jury from the other three options. The selection will be made by the Jury and announced to each finalist right after the semi-final round
But PromFest doesn’t only fulfill dreams for young people – guest performer Aita Kaaver also gets to realize her dream on stage: she will perform her favorite opera aria at the concert.
The concert will be hosted by Anne Aavik.
