The main award<\/strong> of the Klaudia Taev Competition is the chance\u00a0to perform a major operatic role in the next PromFest in 2027.\u00a0Previous productions can be seen HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winner has the right to name any operatic role he\/she desires to perform and PromFest will award him\/her a special scholarship to prepare for that role. PromFest will make every effort to accommodate that wish by allowing gaining experience in professional theatre.  If there is no winner, the artistic director of PromFest will select the production according to the role choices suitable for the next finalists based on the position they have been placed in according to the same conditions mentioned above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jury will grant the following scholarships: 
Max 4500 \u20ac – First Position 
<\/strong>Max 3250 \u20ac – Second Position
<\/strong>Max 2000 \u20ac – Third Position   
<\/strong>Min 500 \u20ac – other finalists<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jury will also award special awards (valuable gifts or scholarships):
– Best interpretation of Schubert’s Ave Maria<\/strong>
– Best interpretation of Estonian Art Song<\/strong>
– Best accompanist<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The honourable title – The Audience’s Favorite<\/strong> – will be given to a singer chosen from the finalists by audience voting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each finalist will get a precious butterfly motif glass keepsake designed by Estonian glass artist Kairi Orgusaar.

Scholarships are sponsored by the Cultural Partnership Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jury reserves the right to redistribute the positions of finalists, except for the First Position. If a position is divided, the jury will add up the monetary value of the scholarships and review the scholarship amount of each position again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jury reserves the right not to award a position (including First Position) if they feel no finalist deserves it. In that case, the position may remain vacant. The second position must be awarded if there is no first position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to being awarded scholarships, the finalists will be considered for engagements in the PromFest’s opera production produced in 2026 and to opera companies or young artists’ programmes in Europe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
