Rigoletto

Opera by G. Verdi.
PromFest’s first opera production in 2003 with Anna Samuil, winner of the 2nd Klaudia Taev Competition (2001) as Gilda.

“Foolishness is darkness” was the motto of Pärnu’s production. Stage Director Linnar Priimagi said: “Giuseppe Verdi’s well-known opera “Rigoletto” is a story of dark foolishness. Vows blindly revenge on the duke, his daughter is killed blindly… And all this is accompanied by the music of one of Verdi’s most beautiful operas”.

Rigoletto was performed three times on the stage of Pärnu Endla Theater – on May 22, 24, and 25, in 2003.
